I was humbled when Jordan, the culinary visionary behind the renowned Nan’s Kitchens (home of, dare I say, the world’s finest fried chicken), approached me with a unique and exciting challenge. He sought to decorate his new restaurants with my shovel and saw art, with a food theme. Jordan, an advocate for local sourcing, extends his commitment to not only locally grown food, but also seeks out local artists. This commission ignited my creative spirit, as I had never considered making food-inspired art. As an avid gardener myself, I relished the opportunity to expand my love of growing things to my artwork!
